Christmas

Merry Christmas! As usual, our gifts have been shipped a little late, our Christmas cards are a bit behind, and we are all surprised at just how fast late December has come; but, as usual, we love you all and miss you with every ounce of ourselves. We are thinking of you today, sharing memories of Christmases passed, and planning for seeing family in the future. It is true that we are focused on Christ today and all through the year, filling our thoughts with the grace and love that is the gift of our savior, but we truly know that sharing this season with family brings so much special meaning and value to the purpose of Christmas. Being away we miss so much of that! To help, we'll fill our thoughts with you as we celebrate this Christmas and enter this New Year with memories of family and thoughts of chances to get together soon to come! That is certain. Merry Christmas. We love you all! These are a few pictures to update you on the fun that has been filling our days (and to tide you until your Christmas cards arrive!).

Our love, Monica

Rice Harvest Parade!

Kayla was in the Rice Harvest Festival parade with JHSOD for dance! This is our first time at the parade, and I have to say that Kayla's float was by far the best! The boys got too much candy. Kayden's been holding out on real food, professing his affinity for Halloween every day! Have I mentioned that Kayden can SPELL Halloween? He can't identify the word he or the, but he can spell Halloween. That's Kayden! Love you and miss you all! monica

Book Club Babies!

Okay, so they're not babies, but hats off to our first mother-daughter book club! I was impressed beyond what I can express by the book talk that our girls took part in! Wow! Thanks, Alex and Maddie, for such a fun night! Enjoy...

first day of school

Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 5th grade! Wow! All three in the same school this year! It has been a busy and exciting last few weeks of summer into first week of school. They all have been so cute this week, love their teachers, and are already getting busy with work to do at home and quizes the first week! Dan and I are, of course, back as well! It's so funny how a comfortable, meandering summer changes~ just like that! enjoy...
